bigest size tire on a 2004 Honda accord LX sedan
I have 18's x 7-1/2 rims and want to put them on my car(2004 LX Sedan), on them are 215/35/18's and its way to small. Im just wondering what is the bigest that can fit with out rubbing? Tire shops say the biggest would be 25/40/18's, but I don't believe them I'm going to keep my car stock height. Can anybody help me out??
You can fit up to a 245 with out it sticking out. But you have a 7.5 wide rim, and I wouldn't go that wide. I have a 20x8.5 and the 245 tire is flush. A 7.5??? the tire would not look right!! I would do a 225 on a 7.5.
Use this link to size up your tires. Put in your oem size, then the size you want under it....

If you absolutely MUST change the sizes up, I recommend using the link below to find the correct size. I don't understand why you'd want to go with anything other than the stock diameter tire, but that's your decision. Just be aware that the larger you go, trying to fill that fenderwell gap, the less suspension travel you have. If you hit a bump (railroad tracks, speed bumps, curb jumping, whatever tickles your fancy) and bottom out the tire in the wheel well, you'll be regretting it later.
