S2000 16" wheel vs 17"
Hello,
As you all know, the 2004 model had many changes on the previous models 2000-2003, major was the wheels jumped from 16" to 17". Now here's the question: If I have the 2002 model which comes with 16" stock, can I put the 17" wheels model of 2004? I'm sure can, but will it affect anything, in other word did Honda enhance the suspension in the 2004 model to support the 17" wheel, or it's just that they put bigger wheels?
Can anyone have a link to the list of changes between the 2004 and previous models. Technical changes not silly ones like glass rear or clock or you know "gadgets".
Thank you,

If you get your hands on the HOT VERSION Battles at 10,000 rpm dvd they have a comparison between 1st and 2nd gen S2K.
They did infact change the tires and the first gen went 1 second faster in the track but the driver said that changing the tires dont change much. The car still handles sensitively. The MAJOR difference is the front end and wheels but the top diff is the suspension geometry.
It has been optimized at a better position which decreases dive going into a corner and it prevents oversteer. The suspension arm wasnt at an opt position on the first gen so they fixed it. The 06 is significantly faster than the 02 perse on a track.

Though, my question was mainly not on the performance rather than the suspension support for wheels. I mean most likely the 17" wheel is different either by weight or size from the 16" so, did Honda made improvement to support that change, or it just does fit even on the 2002 model? I know one can put the 17 instead of the 16 if he didn't do anything, I just want to know that did Honda change the support for wheels, or no? cause if not, then I can put the 17" with no worries that I will loose any reliability on the car.
Thank you again,
