Default h22 swap in eg civic. What all parts can be omitted???

I ordered a full h22 swap from hmotorsonline for my eg and was wondering what parts can I omit if I'm using a chipped p28? Like evap system, egr system, IAB's, intake control selonoid, etc???? The motor came with eveything included and attached. Some of it I don't really know whats what. If anybody has anything to add to the list or correct the above list I would greatly appreciate some info on this. Pictures would be awsome if you have some.

U got a good list goin there... Only other things are axles, A/C, P/S since it's goin into an EG, u can retain both with modification though. Possibly half shaft depending on what axle setup u choose.

Correct. Are u using an obd2 p28 or obd1? If it's obd2 then u'll probly get a cel if u take out the evap, but if it's obd1 u'll be fine.

i went with a chipped ECU. I do not have EGR or the IABs hooked up. I would recommend wiring you IABs to open when VTEC is engaged.

I have an obd1 system so thanks for the info. I think there is a delete plate for the IAB's? does anyone know where I can find one? Is it common for the good to do away with the evap system and the intake control selenoid or should I retain them?

you should be able to just remove the plates from the IAB... Why run a plate when you already have one?

I'm a little confused about the second sentence? plus I've actually seen builders add plates to the mani for performance reasons on the tourge. I'd like to know where I can find a delete plate and then maybe even add one. I've seen it done and it layed down numbers.

i would also like to get rid of my IABs with a custom setup. i used to not have the secondaries hooked up at all, which is one of the reasons why i thought my car did not perform well at the track. i just wired the secondaries to activate with vtec and gave me a noticeable gain. the tires seem to break free easier in first, and the tach climbs a little quicker in low rpm pulls. this was the best solution i could come up with since i have a chipped ECU that does no control them. does anyone know if the skunk2 manifold gets rid of the h22 secondaries

How exactly did you wire the iab's up to activate when vtec engaged. Is this a common procedure? whas the difference that dramatic?

I followed the diagram from the bottom of this thread https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1834449 I did notice a difference. If im rolling in first around 2k rpm and punch it, the tires break loose alot quicker. I can also tell a slight difference in a low rpm 2nd gear pull. I have heard it can be as much as a 15 wheel torque loss, below 5000rpm, without the IABs hooked up. Im going to the track tomorrow, so we will see if it made a real difference.

so I guess you still wire everything up for the secondaries with the p28 but just hook it up to the vtec selenoid? let me know how it performs.

so what was the difference on performance the other day at the track? I'm pretty much convinced but has crossed my mind to cut the runners out of the plenum and do away with the iab's. I wonder how that would perform?

I cant really say how well it performed at the track. I ran a 14.0 with a 2.2 60 foot. I ran a 13.6 but that was with a 2.05 60 foot. Overall, I can notice a beneficial difference in daily driving.
