over heating
i have a 95 hatchback, it started overheating today realy bad. i put a new radiator in today, and about 2 months ago i put a new thermostat it. i was thinkin it might be the water pump but there is no antifreeze coming out of seep holes. the only other i can think of is the head gasket.
does anyone have any input?
it seems pretty hard to change the water pump. but id rather change that then change a head gasket.
thank you

yeah... start with the simple things.
While she is parked in the driveway pop the hood and take off the radiator cap.
Start her up and let her idle for about 15-20 minutes. Doing so will allow all the air to escape your cooling system (burping) and you can monitor your temp to see if the fan activates that the right time.
If this doesnt happen (fan activating) then you want to grab a paper clip and locate your thermoswitch on your thermostat housing. Disconnect the connector and put each end of the paperclip into the female ports. If the fan comes on when you just jumped it then its your thermoswitch. If it doesnt come on you need to jump the fan itself to see if it works.
You can do that by disconnecting the connector on the fan shroud and run two wires from your battery to the connector +/+ and -/- (battery / connector). If the fan comes on then your relay is bad and thats about a $40-60 fix at the dealership. The thermoswitch is about 20 or so.
