Default 1997 Accord SE sound information

I did a seach and came up empty, so it's time to ask. I figured you guys in the Accord forum give the best responses, so here goes:

I have a 1997 Accord SE. I here the SE trim level included an upgrade sound package. I don't know the specifics of it, but the sound system does quite nicely. What kind of speakers, wattage ratings, amp/no amp, etc did the SE trim level come with in '97?

the upgrade is probably to better speakers only. no honda's have built in amps to the best of my knowledge. any other upgrade is probably inthe head unit... move from AM/FM tape to single CD or possibly the addition of a changer.

Accords with the Bose systems in it have an external amp mounted in the trunk that is a 4 channel amp, however I have no clue as to the specs on it, I saw this post and got curious so I searched Accord Audio and found companies that repair the bose systems and they had directions for removing the head unit and the Amp, supposedly they are wired totally different than a standard factory unit. The Head unit puts out a level line out for each speaker which then goes to the amp, which then is amplified and sent to the speakers. I'm not sure if the 97 SE had a Bose stereo? Wasn't the SE based on the LX with just a couple more extras?

I know in 93 the SE was "Top of the Line" but I think in 97 it was a cheaper way to get some of the options found on the EX?

One one of those sites I did see a Bose speaker offered as a rebuilt model and it was a 1 Ohm speaker, so I guess the Bose system does have some funky aplification goin on.

97 SE has Pioneer speakers front and rear, came with a 6 disc in dash cd-player, sat under the head unit, where most of you have that storage tray.

odd, I don't have a 6-disc changer, just a single. Options, options. So Pioneer speakers... but no amp?
