I RECENTLY HAD MY TOP CUT AND BOTH DRIVER AND PASSENGER SEATS STOLEN. I HAVE DONE ALOT OF RESEARCH ON HTIS RECENTLY AND HAVE FOUND THAT THERE IS A REAL PROBLEM WITH THIS, AS MANY S2000 OWNERS ACROSS THE NATION HAVE HAD THIS SAME PROBLEM. UNFORTUNATLY I CANNOT AFFORD TO BUY FROM DEALER SO I PURCHASED OFF E-BAY. I DID HOWEVER CONFIRM FROM SELLER THAT S2000 THAT THEY CAME OUT OF WAS WRECKED (IN WISCONSIN IT IS STATE LAW THAT ALL PARTS MUST HAVE VIN TO MATCH) BUT I AM AFRAID THAT SITES LIKE E-BAY ONLY PROVIDE MARKET FOR THOSE WHO STEAL THE SEATS. PLEASE ALL WHO SUFFER HTIS MAKE SURE THE DEALER YOU BUY FROM IS GETTING SEATS FROM WRECKED S2000'S TO HELP STEM THIS TREND. UNFORTUNATLY IN MY CASE I DO NOT HAVE GARAGE AND AM FORCED TO SELL MY G-RIDE BECAUSE THE THEIVES WILL ONLY HIT ME AGAIN AT SOME POINT DOWN THE ROAD! SUCKS THAT I HAVE TO SELL AS MY S2000 HAS BEEN THE BEST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED.

I AM STILL INTERESTED IN GETTING LOCKING SEAT BOLTS....ANYONE WHO CAN HELP PLEASE ADVISE.

theres a guy on S2KI that was selling them a while back... ill see if i can get his name for ya... sorry to hear about ur seats... insurance didnt cover them?

 

i think the name of them are 'kodiak'(sp?) seat locks. i've had a set in both my s2k's.

His name is "Kodokan"

 

They are like 70-80 for a set of 4 bolts and a key. You must provide your VIN and proof you own an S2000 to get a set (insurance card, etc)

You install two onto each seat, on the front holes. They are made by McGaurd and have tapered heads so you cannot lock on vice grips, etc.

He also sells stickers that say "equipped with seat locks" or something like that for your window.

Where was your car parked that this happened, and time of day?

i will try to look for this dude s2kI......if you come across him of any one who knows where i can buy them I would be forever in your debt....yeah I know it was a real bummer....no unfortunatly the car has been paid off for some time and I was not carrying any comp insurance on it...i know stupid right but hindsight is always 20/20.....if i ever own another s2000 or other convertible i wlll def carry comp on it bet your *** LOL
