What caues a warped rotor
My rotors keep warping. this will be the 2nd time i have replaced my rotors this year. I plan on changing the rotor only 2morrow. what can cause this other than speeding and heat..
bad ball joint? i just installed new ball joints(skunk2) last week

I had this issue when I had my old car.
When I first bought the car I bought entirely new rotors, calipers and pads all the way around because they were badly warped and it pulsed the brake pedal.
A week later, they were already warped again and pulsing the pedal.
Same thing happened to my friend, and neither of us could figure it out.
The only similarity I could think of was that both of our cars had previously been in accidents. So I'm thinking it may be possible for the accident to have caused some sort of frame damage that may jeopardize the structural integrity of the vehicle (even the slightest bend that the human eye can't even see without aid)
But this is just a theory of mine, it could be totally wrong. Has your car ever been in an accident?

Warped rotors can be caused from a shitty manufacturer, or from just exessive high speed braking. Rotor warp when the heat builds up and distorts the metal. It might be possible your a late breaker and your not properly seating in your pads. When you don't seat in brake pads the glaze over, and its possible that with the glazing of the brake pads and some high speed braking that your just wraping the rotors.
Btw Brembo Rotors are great.
Edit: and by shitty manufacturer i mean low grade products, like $10 autozone rotors.

The possilibty is also there for bent bracketry for the caliper or the caliper itself either of which could apply more pressure to a certain point on the rotor and cause it to warp in certain circumstances

Seized or gummed up caliper slide pins/caliper piston will cause the caliper not to release all the way causing heat build up and warping the rotors.
Edit: if the slide pins do not move freely and smoothly take the slide pins out degrease them clean the rubber guides with a non petroleum product. (petroleum based cleaner will cause the rubber to swell). Then lube them with a good synthetic caliper slider grease.

In most instances, what people perceive as warped rotors are actually uneven pad deposits on the rotor face.

it's probably a combination of weather + your driving habits. do you drive/brake hard, and do you do it often?
I've driven my rides for years and i use cheap pads+rotors. AND i live in the rainy city. yet, i've never had warped rotors.
try driving like a old, old granny for a while and see how it goes...

Never knew that..</TD></TR></TABLE>
Water causes a drop in temperature on the surface of the rotor. As your driving, and as its being bombarded by water here and there, its going from hot to cool fast, which causes the metal to expand/contract slightly, which will eventually lead to them being warped out of shape over time.
