I just had my car painted two days ago and Iam making a three day trip back home. Will the blue painters tape harm the paintjob? since I was orginally going to make a custome bra which covered the front end, but the paint shop guy said not to that it will harm the paint please someone let me know asap I leave tonight.

 

That paint is pretty fresh. Yes, the tape will leave marks on the clear.

I wouldn't put anything on it yet, definately too fresh.

did you get it painted in a shop with a spray booth? If the paint was baked then it would be safe to put the painters tape.

Tape left on 2 day fresh paint for 3 days will leave marks on the clear. The marks will buff out most likely. If you consider that safe, thats your opinion. You can't really assume you know how long, and if they baked it, and at what temp, with what type of clear hardener.
