I just got done with my dpfi to obd1 mpfi conversion. I'm rocking no air filter at the moment. So I will be picking up some kind of generic cone filter. I think all of them start at 3 inch. But what kind of adapter/coupler do i need to use for the throttle body? I know for fact the stock throttle body isn't 3 inch.
So i will need some kind of reducer.

i was going to rock the filter like this example.

dont buy it from there though,go on ebay.


or go to homedepot/lowes and see what they have in the plumbing section.

 

get yourself an eBay short ram.

if you have a 3" filter and a D-series TB, you want a 3"--->2.5" reducer coupler

assuming you want it like the pic there

 

Please don't do a HAI like that. It will not help anything please get yourself at least a short ram CAI.

 

that setup is aweful. 33 bux to my door i got a DARK FORCE technologies intake in gloss black, surprisingly decent quality red filter, breather hose, clamps and reducer off ebay. Fit is pretty darn good for the price, my battery is huge or else it would be a perfect fit. I would go this route again any day!!!
