Default Ignition Switch Problem 92 Civic

We have a 92 Civic. Got in late last night turned off the ignition and went in the house came back out a few minutes later to roll up the windows. Key no longer turns in the ignition. Got my wife's key today and same problem. Initially the steering wheel was not locked and the key would not turn. I then turned the steering wheel to lock it and I still can not get it to turn. Keys work in all the other locks. Tried spraying WD40 in the cylinder and still no luck. We're stranded.

Technically you're in the wrong forum, but this is a universal question I guess.

This may sound stupid, but if it's an old key it may be rounded off to the point that it no longer turns in the ignition. Just my $.02.
