Just curious why you using a HF manifold with SI ecu? Has the motor ever ran good before that manifold??? Did you do the manifold then the problems started?

I bought the car like that. here is the storey. The car ran fine the day I picked it up A few days later it started running like ****, Turned out it had a bad ground. Fixed that and got it running again and a few days ago it started running like **** I can be driving it and go to get on it and it will be like someone is pusing on the front of the car. it will get up to about 4RPMS and just start figting to want to go. Cel cam on and thats what its blinking, Tried a new mpa sensor, tried new distributor, Nothing Has fxed it. I Cleaned the plugs but IM thinking maybe it just needs new ones but not real sure they look fine to me.

wrong, code 17 is one long flash followed by seven quick flashes. OP maybe your reading it wrong, you should be able to get a Honda tech to at least check the code for free to just tell you the correct number.

I am almost positive that non obd ecus do not have the long blink (10s) but only have the ones blinks. so I would take that as a code 17

Well that done me no good because that would not explain why the car is running the way it is.

..ooops, looks like I have been on OBD 1 for too long But like he said code 17 won't cause running problem so maybe the CEL is not even your problem anyway (you should still fix the VSS though). Take it to a Honda tech and let them figure it out for you, may be something simple?
