is it flat black or a ****** filthy motor? If you want honest opinions, It aint my cup o tea, ive seen nitrous before, but on a lot nicer bays. maybe you dont care what it looks like.

The car is flat black... I do care what it looks like obviously but i havent had the time to get it painted i am hoping to have it painted this winter. I am also in the process of cleaning up the engine bay/motor. Do you guys have any tips on how i should go about doing this?? Thanks in advance!!

advanced auto brand engine degreaser, cheapest and works just like the brand name GUNK or whatever. A pack of wire brushes in smaller size, another back of nylon bristle multi sized. A plastic bag over ur intake and dizzy, spray, scrub, spray scrub. Rinse gently a few times and keep repeating till its just dandy. if you have an Ollie's near you, or a cheap discount store for that matter, those are the places for the brushes, sponges, rags you would want. Good luck, and keep us updated with pics of ur cleaning.

Haven't seen one of those in So Cal since the mid 80's

Get some brushes and scrub away. If you really want to do it right. Take the engine and trans out and get every little detail. It will make a difference. Its all about how far you want to go. Then you can at least have the bay painted.
