Default 205/50/16 tires?

how do you guys think 205/50/16 tires will look on a 00 si on volk le37s? Im debating whether to go 205/45/16 or 205/50/16 but im afraid the 205/50/16 will be too big of a sidewall....what do u guys think? any pics will be appreciated greatly....thx

205/45/16 is the proper size to go to keep your speedometer accurate. 205/50/16 will make your speedometer read slower than what you're actually going. If you're lowered you'll probably rub on the larger tires, usually in the rear.

You shouldn't base your tire size decision on how you think it will look. As stated above, 205/45-16 would be the correct size for your application, though 215/45-16 would also be appropriate. Most often, a particular tire will only be available in one of those two sizes, so if there's a specific tire you're looking at, you can go with whichever of those sizes it's available in.

gotcha...but i bought these rims with 205/40/16 on them and they are pretty worn out...they look extra small on the car and my car is dropped pretty good...my front lip is maybe about 4 inches or so off the ground...i just wanted some opinions because theres a guy selling 4 205/50/16 bfgoodrich g-force sport tires for $200....he says they are pretty much brand new....but i though they were too big...

Yes, 205/50-16 is too large.

205/45-16 or 215/45-16 is what you want.

They should fit, with the slight possibility of some rubbing, but the main concern is the influence on the speedometer/odometer reading, as well as your overall effective gearing.
