All you need to know about security is in this site:
http://causeforalarm.thecarthi....html

If you choose to listen to it is another thing..

By the way there is an audio/security forum on H-T.

Fantastic alarm. Installed by someone who knows what they're doing it makes for an excellent deterrent.

Make sure to add your own kill switch, and have the installer add a back-up battery and a hood pin switch. Any good alarm installer should automatically wire the alarm to your trunk/hatch sensor.

The python comes with a fuel pump kill switch, so I recommend adding a starter kill switch like I did.

If you get it installed at circuit city, it should be ~$280.

Just ask them nicely to wire up the trunk sensor and buy a back-up battery.

If you're in the ~$250 range you want a paging alarm. That one does not tell you when someone is breaking into your car.

I recommended the python because of it's 1000 foot range, paging, and the better directed products that it comes with.

the only thing is i dont like the auto start and the feature that tells me when its being stolen doesnt work inside some buildings so thats useless too. all i want is something that meks noise and warns me, with sum kill switches and thats good enough for me. but if i find one with that feature and not the autostart that would be neat!

I've been in class ~600 ft from my car and inside a building and I still got the "oh snap" message.

Mine doesn't have auto start.

it doesn't have to. That's just an option. Though i wish I had it so I could have my a/c running for a bit before I get into my hot car.
