project stopped, sold the climate control

i just found a mint condition crx climate control at my local junkyard for cheap w/ the mentality of selling it, but the more i thought about it the more i wanted to put it into my hatch.

i couldnt really find any info on the actual swap when i searched.

but my question to you crx owners is how many actuators or electronic servos are in a crx that control the vents? so the the next time i go to the junkyard i would know what to look for

yah i know, it was the first thing i noticed, got it for only 8 dollars

 

Ill give you $40 for it mine broke real bad

 

Swap the dash too. The crx dash is far cooler and more driver oriented than the civic's, and most other cars on the road today, for that matter.

ok..im pretty sure i only need two motors..the vent selection one and the circulation one

im pretty sure i just need the two motors, hopefully the wiring is complete enough so that i just need to run power wires and grounds and it will work

from this pic u can see that the civic one has 2 more manual action functions than the crx

 

the little box behind the center console is very similar between the rex and the civc...instead of a arm that gets moved by a cable a motor moves it. I had used a civic face in my rex for a while and i was gonna just make it like the civic til i found a pretty good crx cc again. of course the frickin thing cracked later though
