For stage 1's ITR springs and a set of fresh oem guides should be fine.

If the cams don't require alot of spring pressure then don't run springs with alot of pressure. All you will do is accelerate wear and add to pumping losses on the engine. OEM ITR springs would work well for those cams.

Price of the ITR valvetrain is almost the same as any after market valvetrain. So I just ordered skunk2 dual valvetrain. Do i really need valves also?

No. You only need valves when there's something wrong with you ones you currently have.

or if you're oversizing.

To the OP: Depending on the mileage on the head you may want to consider some fresh OEM valve guides as long as you're installing the cams/springs. For S2S1 cams you don't really need anything else. The OEM retainers and valves should be fine.

For a set of Skunk2 Stg. 1 Cams all you need is a set of our "Tuner" Springs... Ti Retainers are completely optional, but make sure theretainers you choose are set to handle a dual spring combo. Research the bennifites of Ti Retainers or reducing valvetrain mass... and make the decision that is right for you.

NOTE: S2 Ti Retainers are made from US Milled and Certified Medical Grade Ti
