Avon's are not nearly as good as Hoosier A6 or Kumho V710 for *autocross*, but they should be better than Azenis. Avon's are great for track days or road racing, as they can take more heat than V710/A6/Azenis.

I have a set... its my first foray into R compounds though, so I dont really have a basis for comparision (they were on close out, figured what the hey). They have substantially more grip than say an Azenis or tires like that, but they'll definitely still give out. They seem to be wearing pretty well, I have 3 days on them and they dont look more than just scrubbed in.
