Weird A/C problem can anybody troubleshoot?

When I use the A/C It turns off at about 55 mph. Does anybody know whats wrong with it?

Does it stop blowing? Or does the compressor stop?

the A/C just stop but if I go below 55mph it turns back on again.

attempt to recharge it?
