Default Wiring PRoblem...

well i was helping my bro in law swap an EX motor into a LX shell..would i need the harness wires off the EX motor? cause the distributar harness wires don't match using the LX wires....worry its kinda confusing how i phrased it...so does that mean i need the wires off the EX motor?

what do you mean the dizzy wires dont match up??? Does the ex motor have an internal coil dizzy???? Because i know for a fact that the f22b2(lx motor) has an external coil dizzy and that could be your problem.

I don't know if its the coil...well this is what we were doing...we're putting a EX motor into a LX....but now we're running into problems..which that coil we took out but i dont know if its the problem..it could be....i'm just lost and confused....the wire harness on the distributor is diff from the lx...so they dn't match up..how to i go beyond that?

check the accord faq at the top, there is a conversion for the coils, but that still wouldnt connect the vtec sil. so getting the right harness and ecu would be the more effective way to go.
