Default Crower stage 2 cam

planning to drop in a Crower stage 2 cam for my d16y8. since my car is OBD2, therefore, i have to convert to OBD1. i will pick up a p28 ecu and upgrade my valve springs and retainers (the package from Crower as well). at the same time, i will get my head ported and polished with 3 angles valve job done.

my ecu will be chipped by Hondata.

my question is:

1. when i bring my car to the shop to get it tune, do i have to tell them anything specific or they know what to do?

2. will i pass smog? i live in CA.

3. what will happen if i run the car with stock p28? i am guessing poor performance and will F'ed the car very soon, right?

any inputs will help. thanks
