I've seen god knows how many of them restrict air flow and I've seen a few of their throttle bodies come as crap b/c the throttle plate was hitting the inside of the body.
Skunk2 is a joke for intake parts, IMO - I've seen their IM's restrict air flow and get LESS HP #'s on the dyno (though I have seen them also gain #'s too).
I'd buy a skunk2 many things, IM or TB isn't on that list - simple as that.
Go with OBX or Edelbrock - they've been around since 1938 - they kinda know what they're doing when it comes to intake flow.

Yeah only thing is that OBX Mani look like shitty as aluminum
I bought one along time ago and returned it cuz it look like it was going to break
Keep them coming guys need more Opinions

Who the hell cares what it looks like? It doesn't break.
In engine parts, performance >>>>> looks, any day.
Gimme a break. Do you have your spoon clutch/brake res socks already installed??
If you don't like OBX go Edelbrock - anybody that's got a bad thing to say about Edelbrock IM's is one person that shouldn't be allowed near a car.

Yeah, most of the time, the other time you'll see 3hp gains, scratching your head, and be pissed at how much work you did for nothing.

I dont get it, The obx is a direct copy of a skunk2 manifold. THing is , the OBX has cut a few corners to make production cheaper. Sacrificing quality for quanity.
I have yet to see a SK2 manifold make LESS power in a simple N/A set up. I have seen a edlebrock manifold hurt low/mid range power and in somw cases make less power overall. Dont get me wrong, edlebrock manifolds are great, just more suited for Boost.
Of everything out there, I would do the SK2.

I believe skunk 2s unit got them to 10 sec 1/4 on there b series motor before they went to K series. Thats what I am probably getting. The edelbrock units are nice but I think they look a little goofy. Just remember if you do go edelbrock that there is a street and full race depending on rpms you are going to use. I guess they dont look as goofy as those old STR manifolds that went for 5 hondo a crack.

sometimes it helps to simply "set it up" meaning checking to make sure things like the set screw are adjusted .

Made less power than what?? What kind of set up are we talking about here? Fully built or stock with cams? Boosted??

You really have to be kidding. OBX?? Come on!!
I realize Edelbrock has been around since 1938, but damn, Honda hasent.
I would much rather buy a track developed/tested piece than a knock off copy or a cool CAD drawing.

I was waiting for somebody to say that
Regardless, why are you getting an intake manifold? You have stated nothing about your current setup, intended setup, or plan for the car...

No, it was a factory defect, I searched and found out that more people had the problem.

NA - not built.

Then go with Edelbrock - because they've been testing them since b4 Honda was even born.
Call it "being pissy from personal experience" - It's not like I've seen every product they have go bad - it's just that I've seen like 3 or 4 of their intake products restrict air flow or have some other problems (like the throttle body plate not fitting in the throttle body) that I've never seen with other manufacturers such as OBX or Edelbrock.
Outside of intake stuff they make great stuff IMO. Their short shifters 'n such are ownage.

I have a skunk2 intake manifold, hooked up to a type r TB and I didnt make any siginifigant gains from it....
Not because of the flow, but basicly they are worthless without a full on port..From the head all the way to the intake manifold. Even increasing the size of a TB means nothing unless you have the flow to get the air through...
