Yeah, all of them 'cept my Tercel b/c it burns full synthetic, so I run Castrol GTX in that.

Cant vote yet but I have Amsoil 5w-30 in the engine and 5w-40 in my tranny. I was a little wary of the shop putting it in my tranny but it has been like butter. I guess they were out of Amsoil MTF. Noticeably quieter idle on the engine. Only downfall so far is the little burn off I do have even is not cheap anymore at 7.50 a bottle.

Why were you using 40 weight oil (hot) on a 322hp winder motor??

Not really, lol. I've used Royal Purple before and it might have a bit of a purple cast to it, but it looks like normal oil otherwise.

I don't use synthetic oil - not in my 282k mile engine or in any of the turbocharged, 300+whp builds I've done - because these engines don't require them. I certainly won't protest the rest of you flushing money down the ol' ******* by using Mobil1 and Royal Purple in your 160hp economy car engines, but I will laugh at you behind your back

If it's clean and there's enough of it, it's fine, synthetic or dino-bone.
