hatch sounds like a bunch of mice....squeek squeek squeek
anyone else ever have this squeek from their trunk..if so what was it and how did u fix it......its not the spare tire cause i dont have one
It's the plastic cover on the inside of the hatch. The part that covers the rear wiper motor. Push that in and you'll hear the squeak.
If you pull the cover off, and spray the metal clips with silicone spray, it'll stop the squeaking. WD-40 only works for about 3 days, then it starts up again.

there are at least 50 teg owners ripping the plastic off there hatches right now..........other than window rattle this is the most annoying integra problem
Does it remove the noises when you remove the plastic peices? I lubed the metal peices, and the squeak still is there. I notice it is only on the right side when I hit a deep pothole or something. Annoying as hell.
Hehe. Did it fix the problem guys? It was fixed on my Integra as well as my friend's Integra.
I guess you could take the entire plastic piece off and leave it off, but when you look at your rear view mirror, all you see is metal and stuff. Not to pretty.
Putting the piece back on isn't too difficult. Just make sure you snap all the clips back into the right spot. Stick the upper (side with the third brake light) in first and then clip the rest in by giving it nice firm hits.
After doing all that, don't forget to silicone spray it....

U have all the plastic off my hatch and it still squeeks. It must be the latch - maybe some electrical tape will work...
Explain what peices you need to lube. All the metal clips?
Would this picture help to you explain where it is?

Mine started to squeak too, its a prob that most G3 tegs have. But most of these remedies work fairly well.

Spray the places where the clip goes in on the hatch. Then spray the actual clips that are on the plastic piece. Then snap it back into place. That should stop it.
Another point to lube up that i dont htink anyone has mentioned yet is the hinge on the hatchback itself. The Hatch itself is hinged at the top, all along time roofline, Its hardly visable behind the rubber guard. Take your friendly silicone spray that you have handy now after spraying inder the plastic pannels and put that little red straw extention on it. pull back the rubber to see the long hinge. Spray generiously over entire hinge. Wipe off any drips. Also, if you havnt done it, wrapping electrical tape around the striker helps a good deal as well.
Hope this helps.

For your CRX, slap some black tape on the metal latch and that noise will go away...
Here's what my dad did to his G2 and my G3.....
Take off the U-hook (latch I guess) from the hatch door (2 big *** screws), turn it 180 degrees and reinstall it. There is a wear point on the latch that after you turn it around, it will act like a new one. There is a washer in there too that looks like the base of the latch that you may want to leave out when you turn it around. Mine now has some tape in there because when I turned my latch, the hatch wouldn't close without some major effort (with the washer). So, try taking out the washer, add some tape to make the washer area thinner and the hatch won't take as much effort. Done.
I would bet you that it is your HATCH STRUTS They hold up your hatch and have a ball and socket fitting... The ball wears away the socket and they squeek like a mother. They run about 50 bucks each i think....
i dynamated my entire trunk area and the hatch. my car has been rattle free ever since. but yes i hated that damn sqeeking noise i would always hear from my hatch so i used some electrical tape on the latch and that worked for a while
