Read the ad. It's a theft recovery, so yes, it's probably a salvage title. And it has a GS-R motor with a Civic transmission. Sounds like it's about as much a "real Type R" as an Integra LS with Type R stickers on it.

Yea its not even a type r O and the b16 transmission is closer to an itr transmission than all the other b series transmissions, but yea it is a civic transmission. Is there anything else you want to flame on. It would be an ls teg if it had a sunroof no five lug as well as many other things that set it apart chasis wise. Please keep your negative comments out of my thread, thanks

In most cases, that's not true. Sounds like you're trying to scam people - like omitting the fact that it has a salvage title - and trying to encourage other people to commit fraud. Nice.

You can't tell other people what they can and can't say here. If you don't want negative comments to be posted about your salvage-title GSR/Civic, then don't post about it in the discussion forums.

That only applies to a vehicle getting registered in Texas, from the outside. Admit it, Chase got lucky but you are not certain it can be done the other way around. And to be honest with you, I think it was a fluke that it was done, but all that matters is that it is done.

Regardless, it is #1. Relax a little bit in here and quit being so defensive. You wont get anywhere in this forum the way you are carrying yourself.

I am not trying to scam anyone, I just though maybe...just maybe someone in this forum on thier high horse might appreciate the car. I guess not, that's why I don't typical post in here. I'd like the car, it would be a fun track dedicated R. Just gut it/cage it, throw on a nice suspension, sell the existing powertrain, and throw in a K20R... Race caR.

But that's baller ****, I can't afford that.

Why do you always try and be a dick?
Not every one of us can afford all the better things in life but we are happy with what we have. So what it has a GSR motor damn the only difference in some cams pistions rods and a crank ITR motors are not the best creations ever made. Any faster honda either has a Civic Si tranny (More available, cheaper) or a ITR one (has lsd but will break under the pressure)
He has rebuilt this car from the ground up would you rather a nice car be cruched and chopped?

Then why not say so? Why not say "salvage title" in your FS post? Because you're hoping potential buyers won't notice and won't bother to ask, and will assume it has a clean title?

And why do you advocate that the buyer "wash" the title and later resell it to some unsuspecting fool as a clean title car?

I've bought and sold a lot of things, cars, parts, etc, with a lot of people. When they're being honest and straight up, you can usually tell pretty easily. And when they're not, you can usually tell that pretty easily too. To me, any sign of deception is a huge red flag. Whenever I see someone hiding something when selling a car, I always wonder what else they're hiding.

Why do YOU always try and be a dick?

You must have something against accurate information.

Do you think it's okay for someone to advertise a car for sale without mentioning that it has a salvage title?

Do you think it's okay for someone to claim that a title can be easily cleansed, when (a) it's not true, and (b) it advocates that the buyer commit fraud?

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by 94rs-turbo &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">Not every one of us can afford all the better things in life but we are happy with what we have.

If you want to buy a salvage title car, FINE! I have no problem with that. But most people advertise salvage title cars as salvage title cars. That's called "truth in advertising". Why do you object to doing so? Explain why you think it's okay to hide the fact that it has a salvage title. Explain why you think it's okay for a seller to advocate that the buyer commit fraud (with the next buyer of the car as the innocent victim when the car's salvage history isn't disclosed). Explain why you think it's okay for a seller to advertise a car as an ITR when it has a drivetrain that is in no way whatsoever an ITR. It's clear from your reply that you think dishonesty is okay, so please explain to us why you think so.

Well since I stated in the thread the car is a theft recovery, I figured it was pretty damn self exclamatory on the title situation, I also stated what motor it has and what parts have not been restored to factory specs. So where or how am I trying to scam someone? You can ask anyone on this site that knows me I don't rip people off or bullshit around, like most people on here do.

As far as a title coming back clean when transfering out of state I am not totally sure, I would rather sell the car to someone local anyways. I think the car is priced fair and I am even negotiable on it.

Dude listen to what you just said, you sound like a kid, it's really not my fault that you used to get beat up in high school, and have went out and bought an expensive car to try and compensate with the ladies and have failed miserably. So now you act like a hard *** on the internet trying to give people a hard time because it makes you feel better.

I think this is where you are trying to scam. I mean your add says it was stolen and rebuilt so that's pretty obvious and then the drivetrain is completely wrong and you stated that, so I think you probably shouldn't have said the quote above because it's not possible to my knowledge.

If I were selling this car, the title of my ad would be "ITR Shell with GSR Motor" or something like that, to make it clear what the car is, without burying the drivetrain info in a bunch of text. And the words "salvage title" would be in the first ten lines of the listing. It's misleading to refer to this as a PY ITR in the title when the important parts of the car are not an ITR at all.

Nice job of trying to distract people from your misleading ad listing. You don't think it really worked, do you?
