Just a general question: based on handling abilities, would you choose a CRX or EF hatch as the heart of your auto-x / road course full racecar? It would have a supercharged B20/VTEC in it, so power is taken care of. Which Honda chassis would be the best pick to build on? Also, which one of the engine bays would have the most room in front of the engine (like where an A/C compressor would go)?

i would say CRX due to the shorter wheelbase, but they have the same engine bay in terms of keeping A/C

 

i was actually thinkin of the same set-up. b20 sc for street mod. since ur goin motor swap, the car u pick depends on what class you want to run in. in a hatch, u'd be in sm (street mod) but if u went the crx route, u'd be in sm2 (street mod 2) i think the crx would be the better way to go because in every other class where the crx and the hatch get classed together, the crx comes out on top due to its baseline weight differance (the hf is something lke 200lbs lighter than the std hatch)
unfortunately, u can't run the s/c in any racing series. and if u went na and built it for IT or ECHC, u'd have an uncompettive autocross car.
