Hi I have a honda CRX 91 SI. Would i be able to fit a sr20det engine in it? I dont have enough money to swap a k20 [has anyone done that swap yet either?]. So can anyone please give me some how to's on how to swap a sr20det engine in my crx. I wanna at least be as fast as maybe a Ls1. Let me know.

And by the way i did search and seems like noone has ever done a k20a swap into a crx. . . anyways ive been tuning hondas for 2 months so i know pretty much everything about honda. Thanks

since you now know all about Hondas, you must know that your CRX is front wheel drive - now you just need to spend a couple of months on Nissans where you would find out that the SR20DET Nissan is rear wheel drive - sounds like it might be a lot of work, even for someone with 2 months experience - by the way, here is an SR20 owned by one of our customers

 

not true they make front wheel drive tranny for the SR20 motors. My buddy had a old NX2000, that thing was the **** back in 1998. But i think the motor was a sr20d. But any how it would be possible to be in that motor into a honda frame. Probably cost more cash than it's worth.

 

i had a sr20det in in my 04' sentra.

it comes out of a avenier or a blue bird.

both fwd sr20det's

putting a sr20det in a honda is kinda funny but ive seen it done.

nissan powered honda is just lame..

</TD></TR></TABLE>you are correct - i just don't know much about Nissans, except that the front wheel drive engines are reversed from the Honda

 

it will still drive forward in 1st gear.

If you know everything about Hondas in two months I should quit now, I've been working with them for 6 years and I don't know EVERTHING about them.

I have been around Honda's for over a decade and I still learn something new everyday. I wish I had the mental capacity to learn everything about tuning a Honda in 2 months.
