HOw would a stock R with a cai fair against a GS-R with skunk2 cams, skunk2 manifold with ericks racing throttle body and dc usdm header and some exhaust in the quarter?

It depends. I've seen some Gsr's take Itr's just for the fact of the driver.

Those mods on a Gsr are good enough to put it in the high 14 range. I've seen Itr's at Sears Point have trouble breaking into the low 14's with some minor bolt ons.

For this match up, I'd say it depends on the driver.

R was owned last night by the GSR. We had equal launches and stayed even for first gear but after that he just started pulling.

I'm thinking given the equal launch, he must have had some more power than me?

I race my friend's ITR with CAI and Exhaust, and I beat him easily... I ran a 14.8 with I/H/E, and now with the Cams, Cam gears and VAFC, I'm pretty much aiming for low/mid 14's...

As much as I love ITR's, a GS-R with Cams and them others stuff will have an easy time beatin ITR's...

Intake, header, exhaust, cams, cam gears, and a VAFC???
Whats that like $3,000 worth of parts? I sure hope you could beat a ITR with that! You could have just bought a turbo...

cam gears - ~$300
vafc - ~$300

Oh man... You're sooo right. The oh so mighty ITR is unbeatable!

Wake up. A modd'd GS-R will easily take a ITR. Especically one equipped with Cams.

damn my mistake in posting this up, I see the gsr's claim they are faster while the R's are claiming the same thing. Didn't mean to start all this.
