h22 swap
I have a 97 honda accord SE non vtech, we did an auto to manual conversion. We got the h22 p28 ECU and a conversion harness for the wires from the accord to fit the ECU. We got a wire harness from a simaler accord witch was automatic, but singal over head cam vtech. so we used that instead of ours. Does all this sound right? When we go to start it the radiator fan turns on and it gets gas, but wont turn over. We didnt do any wiring for the auto to manual swap. I know that you have to run the reverse lights but is there anything else that needs to be done? HELP ME OUT
You have fuel but do you have fire? Might want to check your ignition and ground wires.
Do you have any CEL codes or a solid CEL?
Did you make sure that your P28 is chipped with a good base for an H22?

yea its obd1 and its a 96. Do you know anything about the auto to manual conversion. Do i need to do any wiring with that besides the reverse lights. When the dash lights come on it is in a drive gear, does that have anything to do with it.
i just did a swap like that but in the f22 there is a crank sensor that is connected to the distributor to help it spark i haven't found a way to fix the same problem but there is a sit where that have a OBD1 distributor to a OBD2 harness jumper check it out.

I did a h22a1 swap along with auto to manual. Only thing I can remember from top of my head is the reverse light. When I first started my car, "D4" was lid but on my 3rd time starting the car, the light turned off completely. maybe your obd2 conversion harness is bad. It happened to me. i have a skunk2 conversion harness ifyou want to take it off my hands.
yEah i did an h22 swap and a auto to manual... and i can see nobody is mentioning that you have to connect those two big wires on the brown plug that use to go on your shifter... also if engine harness was for an external dizzy... then youll have to convert your harness you you can run the internal coil dizzy thats on your h22....
