How can I tell them apart - SiR H22A and H22A SiR Type S?
im sure some people wont answer your question so ill just say it. SiR has lsd, type s has atts. that is 2 major differences not sure about nething else
look for tranny code and search it, if its a m2b4, thats a LSD i forget what the type S tranny code is
-oops just block...
uhh look in the FAQ for SH vs. base thread. shows u pics of a SH block (w/ the ATTS) vs. reg block. that should make it clear

The reason why I ask is because I understand the 20hp difference lies in the compression between the 2, and I was unsure as to whether or not there were any indicators of which is which one is which on the outside...
SiR - 10.6:1 200bhp
Type S - 11.0:1 220bhp
Thanks!

The TypeS definitely has P13 embossed on the head.
not sure what code head the other H22's are tho?
btw the regular SiR didnt have LSD as standard - they could come in auto or manual transmission with an option of LSD.
The SiR S-Spec, however, has the same 220bhp engine as the TypeS and came with LSD as standard.
