Default mugen valve cover

so, im thinking about buying a mugen valve cover from my friend for $150 and flipping it for a better price.
my question is, are there any knockoff mugen valve cover?

If you are getting it for a 150 its fake. The fake covers actually look better(quality) than the real thing. The real ones arent made to look good just function properly so there are often defects in the paint. There are also knockoff j's, spoon, and of course type r covers. Also as far as I know there are no single cam Mugen covers in that design. I believe there was one, but it looked really wierd not even like a normal D cover.

I promise for a 150 bucks its fake. Since they sell some fakes for less than a 100 bucks your already gettin ripped.

Look at the position of the N in reference to the valve cover bolt hole. Also note the vertical position of the 無限.

The $150 are FAKE.

I swear on my father's grave, fake as Pamela Lee's ****.

If you think you're going to flip it, then I'm going to find your threads on Craigslist, NWSR, and here .... and tell everyone it's fake. Chances are you won't be able to return it either. They're not selling it as genuine, and thus it's not false advertising. Even if they let you return it, they'll charge you a restocking fee and make you pay postage.

And if you're friend is selling you it for $150 used ... then he's not a real friend.

Fake

Real

who said im going to rip anybody off. i specifically said that if i do buy it, i will post up pics and let you guys be the judge.

so before you start making assumption thats im going to rip people off w/o seeing the valve cover, keep your negative comments to yourself.

OK.

The original poster has stated that he's purchasing a valve cover from his friend. Because of the price, it is almost certainly not an authentic Mugen cover, but without actually seeing it, we cannot 100% confirm that fact. The original poster has never stated that he intended to scam or otherwise act dishonestly in re-selling the cover. He has simply stated that, thanks the the information in this thread, he will now be able to verify whether or not it is authentic, and if by some chance it is, he will then be able to re-sell it for more than he originally paid.

Let's not make assumptions about the posters moral character based on statements that he hasn't actually made or that are taken out of context.

Please point me to the fake j's one. Cause I've had the real one and it was not worth the 3-4 months wait overcharging and other bs I went through from aj-racing. The coating on it was horrible there were bumps, runs, orange peal etc. I knew other people who had the valve cover and the paint came off. All it is, is a painted hype R cover..

Fake Mugen VC = Polish letters, very shiny

Real Mugen VC = Dull letters like that off a CNC machine. It's got lines on it, a bit. ruff to the fingers. So if ya see anything shiny or anykind of reflection then you got yourself a fake.

Hope this helps.
