I have a 2002 rsx type-s with about 98k miles on the motor now it feels like my car is lacking hp, an when i punch it from full throttle from a dead stop or on the freeway downshifting i shift about 7,500 rpm's i go in an out of vtec and it feels like my throttle response blows could it be that my car mite be out of time or something or have to do with air to fuel ratio. all i have done is a k&n short ram intake 18' mortegi mr7's im looking to get some 17' rims hopefully stock 05-06 type-s rims. anways do u guys have any thoughts what it mite be causing my car to go in an out of vtec its pretty sad seeing it get beat by my old h22a4 4-door accord not badly but still getting beat which i think i should be atleast leaving him but let me know what u guys think what the problem mite be thanks.

Well im still learning i have only had it like 2 months i was so used to a stage 3 clutch an the shift points in my accord. im still learning about k-series motors because i was so used to h-series. i did a compression test and the results were #1 155psi #2 160psi #3 150psi #4 150 psi now i know it should be atleast 200-220psi for each one now do you guys think my rings are going bad it doesnt smoke or anything thats what i dont get. thanks

 

are you sure that the psi should be in the 200's.. 155-160 i throught was normal for the k20a2 but i could be wrong i know that my b16 was 160ish.
