who has an base rsx and whats the most hp you got out of it
because i want to start makin mine faster but i know they wont get as fast as a type s but i want to make it get the most hp out of it

i have both a type-s and a base model rsx as well i have a v2 intake, dcrh, and full 5zigen catback and recently i raced it w/my type s and it pulled on it not much but a prety decent amount but type-s still manages to pull once vtec kicks in

Base rsx's can make very good numbers boosted, and they can make some pretty decent numbers n/a, a base with bolt on's, kpro, and stage 2 cams can make a solid 200 whp
that's a lot of mods just to hit 200whp

stg2 cams = 800-1000? idk
thats near 3 grand
another grand (or 2) will get you a turbo set-up thats pushing near 260whp
from there on, skies the limit

im thinking about getting this intake called carbon kevlar chamber it gets u 18.1 hp jus with that and no other mods its on passwordjdm.com but ive been lookin at turbos and everything but still cant find one so where would be a good site to look?

You can probably get that bundled together with "The Tornado."
Personally, I would not waste money on bolt-on's for a base RSX. If you want performance, boost it or sell it and get an RSX-S.

actually im buildin a k20a3 for my em2 and if you put stock type s cams in it and stock type s pistons you will have the exact same motor. the only thing that is diff between the two is the compression ration of the pistons and that there is no vtec lobes on the exhaust cam in the a3 as in the a2 there are lobes on the exhaust cam. so there spend like 500 on some stock cams and pistons and youll be ready to go.

is this is true im getting myself a base model. i would think the valvetrain between the S and base would be different too.

im jus gonna build up my rsx instead of doing all this stuff its more safe than risking messing up my engine but if i was to get a k20a2 how much would run for?
