2001 cr-v shifting problems
I have a 2001 Honda CR-V automatic and it has recently developed a problem shifting from 1st to 2nd (goes to 3 or 4 rpm and waits until 40 - 55 mph). Also from 2nd to 3rd (same scenario). It has 106,000 miles, and this is a recent development. Any suggestions on how to fix the problem? I have 3 years until the loan is paid off and want the crv to go for 2 years after that before I trade it in.

I had the mileage wrong, it is 106,000 not 160,000.

Does anyone know of a technical forum where I can obtain advice? I recently switched from a 1980 Mercedes diesel forum to this one when I purchased a newer car. The Benz forum gave advice, I need to know where to get Honda advice for a transmission problem.

You are more than welcome. Not recieving advice for a Honda CR-V on a "Honda-tech" forum is extremely frustrating. I just wanted to make sure that everyone on this "technical" forum knew that. The reason I subscribed and posted on the forum was to receive help with my car. I thought that was the reason this forum existed on the internet. I was wrong but thankfully found another avenue for receiving the help I need.
