h22a civic wants A/C ^^ EG6

anybody know if the f22 bracket and the accord ac compressor is a working setup on the h22a civic eg6??

maybe this is an accord setup?

I know somebody knowssss ~ i really cant find an answer tho

Blah, I'm pretty sure (like 99.9%) the bracket will work 'n all...but I don't think it'll make clearance in the engine bay...I don't know for sure though .

Talk to THC07 - he's big into H22's and he wants AC, he can tell you the nitty grit of it.

He says the AC is the only thing he regrets taking out more than the power steering (which he put back in). I'll holla at him with this thread for ya.

gotta either buy or make a bracket.
and you have to use the D series compressor.

alrighty i always like answers ~ ~ i askd a shop to make me one. he wantd a bit lol and i just cant find the bracket like other people ~~ gues i have to keep lookin

 

There's some bracket trial and error info in the h22 and h2b faqs.

Ya, I'm thinking of swapping or boosting next summer, and if I swap it's gonna be an H22 or an F20B - but I'm not doing either if I can't keep AC..I'd like PS but can live without it - AC is addictive .

 

yaa ac is good stuf.. its so humid here~~ aftr i get outa the car i feel like i got outa the shower ~~ but im movin to nor cal and no humidity but suprr hot.. soo thought i would get the ac goin woohoo hopefully i can find one of these used hcp brackets orrrrr x(

hmm i didnt rly find any bracket ideas anywhere ~ hes just got alota stufff ..link? ;D

In a 6th gen a/c is very feasible. There's a guy in the h2b faq working on one and he's confident he'll have a/c.

I might be going with the f20b just because it has cast iron sleeves. So If i was to boost later I'll have a tad more insurance.

Though I think an h2b with nice bolt ons and some good cams will be plenty fast for me. So It's all in limbo.

 

After the First rain this winter, my car is going in my shop to get AC put back on. Im gonna make my own bracket to mate the D series compressor. ill make a copy of it after i get it to work if anyone wants one, will be easy enough to make.
Also, if i can get some funds togather, I plan on doing a H23V2B in a coupe. EJ coupe. YAY tell me that will not hallass.

 

 

i have the bracket to mate SOHC a/c compressor to H22, but the compressor pulley sits off and at high rpms it will shred the belt. Its done it to me twice already (SOHC uses 4 rib belt, h22 alt and crank use 6 rib). I'll probably end up buying prelude bracket and compressor and just have custom lines made.

guess ill just use the alt tensioner for the belt? think thats oke doke?

this gave me a better idea hehe
