Oil pan removal?
I have an as yet unidentified oil leak in my civic. (the car has a turbocharged LS/VTEC, so I decided the civic forum would be my best bet, hopefully)
Anyway, I have a few things I'm gonna try, and one of them is replacing the oil pan gasket. I have the service manual, and it looks pretty easy and straight forward.
My question is, is there anything other than the oil pan gasket that I need to buy before I remove the oil pan? I don't need to mess with anything else in there, just replace the gasket. Are there any other parts I need to remove that I'm not thinking of, that are going to require replacement parts? I'd hate to get my car up on the lift, and remove the pan, and find out I need to order more gaskets etc., and then have to wait a week for parts.
Any quick info?

theres no need to bump 3+ times in an hour.
theres nothing special you need. just make sure you get all the old gasket out before you put the new one on. I use some adhesive spray to keep them on, not a ton, but just a little so that it doesnt slide off.

The oil pan should be removed and the oil pan gasket removed. An OEM Honda gasket should be installed and all the bolts/nuts to a setting of 7ft.lbs. If you have to remove the header/exhaust system to get to the oil pan then install a new OEM Honda exhaust manifold gasket or donut gaskets as well.

you said that youre not sure if its the oil pan leaking? you should brake clean it around there and run the car to see where its actually leaking from. theres no need to fix things that arent broke
but if youre sure then the guy a couple posts up is spot on

They are all the same size bolts, they go around the perimeter of the oil pan. Nothing special required when it comes to reinstalling the oil pan.
