Pass Axle won't go in (searched)
'91 CRX Si with stock D16A6
I just replaced the clutch in my car and now I'm trying to put the passenger side axle in. It'll go in far enough for the threads to catch and spin but it won't go in that extra inch. I've used as much force as I can (ended up replacing the axle because I busted the boot hitting it) and the thing won't budge past the threads. I've tried pulling it completely out and rotating it but it still won't work. I searched but found mostly removals and compatible questions.
Help? THis is all I need to get done before I can start the thing after 9 months.

Mine were also hard to get in. I just screwed with it untill it finally went in. I put something on the edge of axle where it goes in and hit that with a hammer. Just do it in such a way that you arent damaging or cutting the boot, it is possible if you are careful about it.
Ok, first off, When u slide the axle into the tranny does it fully go in???
If not you should not be putting the other end into the spindle yet and trying to force it in my tightening that 32mm axle nut!!!!!!!!!!
The axle c clip must be sitting flush and you should be greasing the splines and c clip on the axles. Next, its all about the angle in which you hold the axle. I found that out when i installed my crx b16 axles. I held it down too much and it would not slide all the way in and lock in. When i held itmore up towards the hood it slid right in and i heard the click. Then i doubled checked by pulling on the solid part near the tranny. Not on the axle shaft cause you will riun the Joints!
Hope this helps..
