I bought the above stated car and at the time it didn't run. The guy claims he set the idle hight o keep the car running and the timing was off. I have worked on it for hours and finally have an idle of about 1200, a slightly rich running car and some timing issues. I don't have a timing cover to go off of so it has been looking at other cars timing with siminlar motors. It has the Vtec-E motor and I know little about that particular motor. I need any advise or resources for adjusting timing and getting my idle better. I have done plugs and stuff so that isn't the problem.

 

Have you hooked up a timing light to it yet?
