So I called the local dealership looking for a 98 ex ecu. The guy asks me "2dr or 4dr" so I say "4dr" then he says he'll have to order it, than he says "it'll be $1013.00" and I say "for real?" I was thinking $200 maybe $300 max but $1013 is he for real? AEM ems is about that much, hodata, chrome, etc... all better choices and much cheaper. Someone please clarify.
you buy anything direct from the dealer is going to be more expensive then "slightly" used... ive heard that some dealers are more expensive then others also... ebay or local seller is your best bet for a lower price

And since you are on H-T... why not try the marketplace? There are always people selling ECU's in fine working condition for way less then you will find at any STEALership or OEM website.

the auction is incorrect BTW, the A34 came on the 98, the A33 came on the 96-97.
there is also this one.. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors...84538

Try ebay or craiglist.
