anyone works at a bay are DMV office? got a couple questions
if there is anyone that works in a bay area dmv office that knows about out of state registration, please shoot me a PM, i got a question for you
im registering my out of state car right now ***** hella work bitch *** dmv dont help too haha on the last step thoo chpp!!
yeah chp is the toughest they basically check your car make sure every thing is legit and smog legal. if u have a swap or aftermarket header or intake they will then send you to the ref. its such a pain....
i need someone at dmv that will say "OK" to my vin verification without sending me to CHP

I know what your going through but it was quiet simple for me to do the vin verification. the trick not to get sent to a CHP station is finding a DMV office that does vin verification. The only one i know of around here is the Santa Clara office becuase that's where i'm from...
my car i had verified
*93 civic si salvage vin # verification
*new front end
*99 b16 motor with gsr tranny but vin plate was removed( thought i would have a hard time but they didnt even ask)
*the guy looked at the car to make sure your vin on the fire wall, dash, and door sil vin # is there and thats basically it. They just make sure nothing has been altered and the vins on your dash is riveted on. oh and they looked for the emissions sticker under your hood but because i had an aftermarket hood the guy said its ok cuz i just had my car smogged and it passed.
Anyways if u have any other ? on how i did it just PM me and i'll give you my # and i'll tell u wat u needa know...
good luck
