Default Integra OEM Optional Sideskirt Weatherstripping (replicating on replica sides)

I'm looking into buying a set of Replica OEM Optional Sides. However, they don't have the weatherstripping. I really want everything to look OEM, and have heard good reviews about these sideskirts. So, my question is whether or not there is any kind of weatherstripping I can use with these sideskirts to add that protection to keep dirt out of the sideskirts and to make them look more like OEM. I've heard that there is some weatherstripping you can get from Toyota. Anyone know anything about this?

Does anyone have any pictures of what this looks like installed? Has anyone done this? What kind of result did it give you?

I remember seeing a thread where someone talked about this, but I can't seem to find it.

Someone said that there was a post in this forum on this, but I searched and I couldn't find one.

Help will be appreciated!

Keep in mind that some of the replicas dont fit well. From what I have seen its either hit or miss. About a year ago, my friend ordered some weather strips from honda. I forgot if they were made for the ITR optional kit or if it was for another honda car and he simply modified it. I have also heard people getting weather strips from Toyota, but havn't confirmed it myself. I have seen hardware stores sell simlir though, and with some modification there is no difference. I have installed a few OEM kits and each have fit flawlessly. I would really consider paying the extra money. If you message me on AIM i can send you all the pictures of my installation process.

I have oem lip/sides and I bought some replica rear valences ONLY because they were painted the same color as my car... When I went to put them on they were nowhere near lining up. I would recommend getting the real ones.

I'm supprised nobody has made a decent optional side replica yet. With the real ones going for so much money you think somebody could reverse engineer them perfectly and make some $.

I'm guessing since honda uses million dollar machines to make their stuff out of quality materials. The replicas are just moldings of originals and lets just say its less than quality.

Or save your money and don't buy them at all!

<-- Jon, who unlike most doesn't care for the oem sides and rears at all :shrugs:

On FBP and NHBP yes

PY and especially CW ugh

To each his own though.

Supposedly you can use the weather stripping that Toyota uses for its body kits (Matrix, Camry, etc.)

The place that I'm looking at buying from did exactly that. They're ABS plastic and molded from an original OEM Honda sideskirt. They just don't have the weatherstripping.

This is what I've heard....and am looking to see if this is in fact true.

Go to Toyota. Part # is 76925-02030-C0. Looks amazing and have no complaints. It is was like 7 dollars for a roll.

Interested in an answer also. I have a set of the optional sides and rears, but the weatherstripping on the passenger rear is in bad shape.
ninja edit: ^^^ well there you have it.

It will protect the valances and skirts from digging into the paint and still give it a clean look. I think it looks better with the weatherstrips to but that is what I think.

I was never a big fan of the optional kit either....

One of the biggest turn offs was the weatherstriping. However, I happened to notice an RSX with the factory body kit that had the same style of weatherstriping. You might be able to get that for the replica sides

I don't really care for them either but they came on my car so I'm not complaining.

And my car isn't any of those colors, MR.
