I have some HID's in mine. No problems with mine blinding people or havent been flashed at yet, I actually got flashed more with the same HID's im my subaru legacy than my Pilot. Light output is good and glare is minimal. Havent had an oil change yet, but Ill just take it to the dealer. As far as gas I have ran 87, 89 and 93 and have got the same gas milage on each octane. Might want to check out hondapilot.org too, might find more useful and not so useful info on the Pilot.
I change oil every 3000 miles (at dealer) , I've noticed that it starts to dry up after that (in all the car's I've had, especially synthetic). As far as gasoline goes, I notice it pings with 87 but get the same mileage with all octane's. However, I do stick to just putting Chevron on my cars.

As far as the service... go by your oil % life gauge. Hit your trip button till you see it. Go by that... when it hits 15% then change the oil. Only use 5w20 which is what Honda recommends. I personally run "mid" grade (87/89) in my Ridgeline and I only use large name brands of gas (they use some good additives), and not the mavericks etc... Change your VTM4 (rear diff) fluid every 15k miles...

I say Mobil 1 5w-20 if you're changing every 3000 - 4000 miles, if you decide to go to the 5k range then use extended. As far as filters go I usually go with K&N Performance, Honda OEM, or Mobil Filter.
