okay so this evening I was pulling apart my CRX to prepare it for its new paint job and part of the dismantling process was to pull the sunroof panel off the car. In the process I was able to remove the panel.

Strangely I felt compelled to retract the sunroof mechanism (don't ask why b/c I didn't have to do anything after the panel was removed) and in the process of using the manual crank to crank the mechanism closed I forgot to push back the two rear black rails that the sunroof attaches to and I kept cranking lightly and it was binding up against the roof of the car when all of the sudden I hear this crack/snap/pop/bang (not that loud of course) and all of the sudden now the passenger side lift rail won't rise and fall on its own like the driver's side does whenever the sun roof is raised or lowered.

So my question to you all is: What on earth did I break? I hope I didn't damage any expensive parts. When I crank the sunroof motor with the supplied hand crank the two front parts of the sunroof mechanism move back and forth and the lift mechanism on the driver's side rear lifts up and down as the crank is turned back and forth but the passenger side rear lift rail doesn't move.
