Default DonF i got a question for you

i figured u could answer this question with ur vast knowledge. what is the highest temperature that a normal running engine will be on the exterior of the engine. to any mods that see this, i know this is a repost but i didnt recive my answer so i figured id be more blount with my question and i have a felling Don can answer this. thanks in advance

you should try posting this sometime during the day when donf is surely to be at his shop. say sometime between 12pm-8pm eastern time..


this is kinda an odd question.. you can answer this yourself with a laser therm. then you just point and it will tell you the temp..

Generally 115-120 C, unless you have a junk turbo kit that you have to notch the block for, then the number is huge.

thank u ever so much. reason bieng, i am gonna be painting the engine and i was wondering how high the temperatures were going to be so i can see what kind of paint i need. cause its gonna be basecoat/clearcoat not rattle can. thanks
