I think exaccord, smokin rubber, and hondasport are the only autocrossers that frequent this forum. You'll find others that road race though.

I auto-x a 4th gen...Firebird. Driving's, driving.

Basically, nothing, and I mean nothing, beats seat time. Go to a high performance driving school, ask instructors to ride with you at an auto-x and give you tips. It's a lot of fun, just don't be dissapointed when you finish last.

94Accord is a regular autocrosser in his 2 door accord. Damn good too.

Who said anything about finishing last? At our local events the only two people who beat me consistently are a 2000 Suburu 2.5RS and a 5th Gen Civic (In STS by the way). Tight twisty courses kick my *** but the A-ride loves the longer courses.

yeah, people are mighty suprised to see this grocery getter running better times... the driver is key. if you get a chance, take the evolution driving school. one person said it shaved up to 6 seconds off their time in one weekend. seat time, seat time, seat time.

Seat time is the key. I've been doing this for ~3yrs and finish in the top 10 out of 70-80 cars when i race.

Yes, seat time is the key. Good tires, too. This is my 4th season autocrossing and I can manage to keep my Accord on par with the smaller "sports" cars. Just go out and do it. You'll see yourself progressing with every event.

For all those that autocross or I guess for those people who like to experiment...

the next time you find yourself with some time or you have to get into your front suspension try swapping you upper A arms. put the right on the left and the left on the right. increased my castor by close to 3 degrees.

I would suggest track racing. To me it is a HELL of a lot more fun than autocrossing.
