Default anyone using their DEI alarm as a turbo timer?

Hi guys,

I believe the DEI (Viper 791X) or ( Clifford RSX3.5) has the turbo timer feature, has anyone ever set this up to run with their turbo setup?

Need to find out so i can have it setup when my turbo is installed.

Thanks guy.

here is the link to the manual http://www.directeddealers.com...5.pdf

assuming it has been programmed for the standard button configuration then this will work.

from page 29:

Short run turbo mode keeps the engine running after arriving at
you destination for a programmable period of 1, 3, 5 or 10
minutes. This allows the system’s timer to conveniently cool
down the turbo after you have left the vehicle.
To activate:
1. Park the vehicle and set parking brake.
2. Remove your foot from the brake pedal and leave the
engine running.
3. Press and release the 'star' and 'aux' buttons at the same
time.
4. The lights will flash to indicate the remote start has entered
short run turbo mode.

You can change the length of time by using the valet switch and going into program mode. However, if the dealer used a Bitwriter when setting the alarm up, the alarm maybe locked and can not be reprogrammed without connecting it to another Bitwriter. This is the installation guide http://www.the12volt.com/insta...D=430 that explains how to reprogram the alarm manually with the valet switch and the remote (which is a lot harder than using the $100 Bitwriter).
