does any wiring change from an 89 to 91 SI cluster swap? i was checking my car out yesterday and i noticed that the plugs were different on a 90 HF. thanks!

 

yes you have to repin, but it's very possible. which model are you going from and to? i made wiring charts for mine..i had an 89 Si and i put a 90 CRX cluster in my hatchback. shortly after i put the SiR cluster in the hatch. you'll also notice the speed sensor amplifier on the back of the 90-91 CRX clusters..i took mine off when i switched and had no problems from not having it.

 

i have an 89 crx si and a 91 civic hatch si guage cluster. i need to know which wires to repin in the clips. thanks

 

ok..i forgot to look at my charts last night, but i'll let you know how i figured it out. i went to b16a.honda-perf.org and looked at the SiR cluster how-to. in that chart it lists the pin outs for the 90-91 CRX Si. these are the pin out that you want to do. look at all your wiring and write down everything..you can use the printed circuit board on the back of the cluster to trace out everything as well. then use the chart from the web site to re-pin..it also helps if you have the old plugs but it's not necessary. good luck man..IM me if you run into problems.

 

super i posted something like this a while back... i dont think anyone responded hahaha but i would LOVE that wiring diagram thats what i need to do is install a Si-R cluster in my 89 si hatch
