Need Help on making a decision on rebuilding jdm itr b18c or b20vtec setup
i bought 95 eg w/b18c ITR jdm swap. The car has a bad crank and rod.The crank was machined improperly so it knocks like crazy. I have a couple choices either put a in a new itr crank and rods. I also have a complete b18b block in awesome condition sitting in the shop or just pick up b20b or b20z block. I wanna build a daily driven all motor setup somewhat reliable with about 220whp . What's a safe high compression ratio for pump gas? What pistons with what block should i use?

Yeap
Yeap
Or build the B20. You should be good with a 12.5:1 compression piston on 92 octane. Depending on what head, headwork, and headgasket you use..
