Default question on ITB's

i see everyones ITB set up and they are always facing the firewall. has anyone thought of or has anyone executed ITB's that face upward?
i mean the horns on the ITB's are pointing up towards the sky.....

any feedback would be greatly appreciated.....

mmm...I don't think that would be a good idea since it'll collect more dust and dirt that way........plus if anything debris is near that ITB, it'll get sucked in for sure if it's pointing upwards whereas pointing it horizontal would probably be safer.

Simple.

It keeps the intake path short and straight.

wouldnt it suck up cooler air from them pointing up, rather than sitting a few inches over the headers?

either way it'll still be underhood air....at speed, there's enough air churning under the hood to make the difference negligible i think, so keep the intake flow short and straight like MK said

makes sense, but if you have a hood thats open for the horns to stick through them you would be straight.... just my opinion.

that would defeat the purpose of them then.

Or a hood with a cowl forcing air right into the ends of the short, straight ITB's.

it's a race piece.... filters need not apply.

Rob I'll send you the picture to your email. Eviltwin check out the website if you wanna know more about TWM ITB's: http://www.twminduction.com

Keep in mind the ITB setup you will see was done by Jeff over at Importbuilders, basically carbs coverted to itb's, also the car belongs to "PACMAN" if you all know him on Importreview Boards you know who he is...
