I was just installing my header and it hits the dipstick tube!! the block is a b20b. I was wondering if a vtec dipstick tube is different?

Who repaired that header?

 

is it just me or do those welds look horrible?

 

just bend the tube , the new BISI header requires the tube bend also

put a screwdriver in it and push.

Holy smokes. Let me guess the guy that welded that header, did that while deep sea diving, correct? LOL an underwater weld on a header!

 

Just bend it out of the way.

 

i got it just bent it with a screw driver, the welds were like that when i bought it.

 

yeah thats what we had to do... bend the guide a little towards the head. No biggie has no affect on performance . I'm rocking the same header but my welds are a hell of a lot more cleaner.

 

those welds look like my 6yr old nephew did it. there not even consistent. those are really bad.

 

where did u get that header? and is it really anr? i would call up and send that thing back and get a new one with good welds. those welds dont look good at all. how does the inside of the weld look?

 

The welds below the flange look legit and nice like my ANR. The flange itself is totally different then my ANR though. Did they happen to cut and replace the flange? To answer the question just bend the tube for clearence. Be careful where you bend it though. I bent mine back and to the left (looking head on) and I kept hitting the windage tray in the pan with the dip stick.

 

That ANR header design blows!!!!! nver seen it make power

Ya when i put my dipstick in now i can kind of hear it hit something but it only dose it sometimes. I am not actually sure if it is a real anr or not. The guy i bought it from didn't know what the brand was, so i assumed it was anr. Well as far as the header making power i think it gave me a noticeable increase in mid-range and when i get it re tuned im hoping to make good numbers.
