Default Diesel in 2008?

Whats the story with new diesels in the United States by honda? I might be looking for a new car to own in the next year, and was looking to alternate fuel sources...

Can I put vegetable oil in it?
What are the specs?
Is there ANYTHING in Diesel in 2008?

This is probably not the best forum on Honda-Tech for that question. The focus here is more on modified high performance naturally aspirated gasoline powered Honda engines.

I havnt seen anything diesel that's not related to trucks. Its almost as if honda doesen't do diesel, when in fact over half the cars worldwide are now running diesel.

dude...i takes like less than a second to google honda diesel and come up with the accord cdti information. Honda is supposedly bringing diesels over in 2009 and yes they are very advanced with excellent fuel economy, but this is the wrong forum for this question. Somebody should lock this up....
